my boyfriend got me the most awful necklace for christmas, do I have to wear it?
We have been friends for years and recently got together.
He somehow went epically wrong and got me a dragon fly necklace with pink wings and 6 diamante sparkly diamonds for the body. It so far from what I would usually wear...it's so bling!
I am not by any means a shallow, spoiled brat and I of course understand that its the thought that counts, but do I have to wear this disaster out in public?
Coco, it is that bad...I really hate it. I'm guessing it's cheap as it isn't sterling so thank god he didn't spend a lot on it. I guess he saved the money for the Nightmare on Elm Street 7 DVD box set...I've never even seen the film, and now I have 7 of them.lol
Please trust I'm never usually this ungrateful with gifts. It's just that they were so random and not me.
If you really can't stand it, wear it only when you're with him and under a shirt with a high-neckline so all you can see is the chain.
That way you can tell him that you like to wear it because it reminds you of him throughout the day, but you don't actually have to put it on display.
That's considering it's a necklace with a decent length chain. If it's more of a choker, you could just suck it up, and wear it occasionally when you're with him. Surely his feelings mean more to you than looking good?
